[Lithuania drags Poland into the cabin and punches him in the face as hard as he can. Ideally he'll send Poland to the floor. That's definitely his intent. He's careful to avoid Poland's nose, though--he doesn't want to break it.]

...Will you tell me why you're doing this? Athena said you've been forced. Elaborate?

[He's gentler now.]

[Poland's expression softens in thought.]

Every night since I've gotten here I've woken up in the middle of the night. I walked to a cabin in the woods where I met up with a group of strangers. We'd talk all night about who should die and how they should die the next morning.

[Poland glances down at his hands.]

I lied. I lied to everyone. And when the person who's known me for years knew the best way to catch me in that lie, I deliberately threw him off by making a pinky promise.

[Poland's hands tremble, and he looks at Lithuania terrified.]

Are these things I'd do?

[At that expression, Lithuania's guise breaks entirely, and there's only worry--the worry of a whole nation's worth of feelings directed at Poland.]

You wouldn't. Not unless they were threatening your people or couldn't stop yourself somehow.

...Athena wants to help you. You know that, right?

The only way I can win now is at the expense of everyone left.

[Lithuania pulls Poland into a hug and smooths down his hair.]

What happens if you win?

I don't even know.

[There's no hidden morality, no great plan to save everyone like there was last time.]

I know what happened in this camp and I know the ranger wanted me to fail. I don't know if I'm on the right side of things.

I didn't want to die.

Athena is going to try something in regards to the vote. Voting for the true killer, she called it.

The one the Ranger mentioned--from the murder involving the children.

The paper just turns stuff like that into a name of whoever is currently playing though.

[It catches him by surprise, but he only freezes up for an instant before his hand clutches Poland's shirt and he kisses back, his affection making his tangle of emotions even more obvious.]
