Poland's Room | Friday Night Week Six
[The first thing Lithuania does when he arrives in Poland's room is collapse on the other nation's bed, staring blankly up at the ceiling and letting everything blur together in his vision. He'd voted incorrectly for the first time--and his vote had directly contributed to Latvia's death. Had he voted for Spain, he could have at least tied the vote and given Latvia more of a chance than he had. And the way Spain acted--well, that wasn't a surprise, really. Lithuania had spent centuries dealing with nations, after all. It still didn't make for anything but a bad taste in his mouth, looking at it from a more human, emotional standpoint. And right now Lithuania felt as if emotions and raw nerves were all he was composed of.]
I'm probably a terrible person. [The words are almost idle, the way they're spoken. But he amends the statement in the next breath.] Definitely a terrible person.

Everybody makes mistakes.

You didn't vote for Ukraine. I could have tied the vote.
[Which still wouldn't have been a guarantee either way, but still.]

But Sonia could have tied the vote. Or Gundam. May. Anastasia. Kaoru could have not pulled the same last minute accusatory crap that Kanaya pulled at Ukraine's trial. Latvia could have voted for Spain.
Spain could have not been such a total asshole. [Poland digs some tongue depressors and a spoon out of his bra, dumping them on the desk to play with.]
Everything's always 20/20 in hindsight.

This is all so difficult. There's too much to consider and--and we shouldn't be making these decisions at all, we shouldn't even be here.

[Poland tips his chair back to open the liquor cabinet. Poland hasn't really utilized the cabinet much, even less so after Belarus was poisoned. He never really drank with the intention of getting plastered, but after today it sounds like a great idea. He grabs a bottle for himself and another for Lithuania.]
There.

Do you think... We're just going to keep playing until we can't hold a trial anymore?
[Until there are only five of them left to be suspects.]
no subject
Maybe Doris can ask her boss if they're feeling generous and that trial might have six suspects.

I raided the medical kit for some tongue depressors and got the spoon at breakfast. [Poland grabs some hair ties off the table by his bed.] I figured I could make it, I'm not gonna sleep tonight anyways.

You really are good with math.

[Poland beams.] I never really thought about it till I saw it on my card, but yeah I guess I am.

Poland knows he can do a lot of impressive things it's just kinda unusual when someone actually takes him seriously long enough to think he's impressive too.]
Thanks.

People don't seem to take you very seriously, do they?
no subject
Being taken seriously all the time is kind of a hassle anyways, it's like not a big deal.

No you're not a terrible person. At least like, not to me.
no subject
I guess it's just stress.
no subject
You really worry a lot, huh? You'd think you'd be able to relax a little given that you weren't a suspect or anything.
no subject
[Also he worries a lot about everything.]
no subject
Wow, you put too much stress on yourself.
No wonder you get ulcers.
