The Producer wears his pinstripe suit well, though the tommy gun has been placed to the side for the moment. He doesn't seem concerned about the corpse or the absence of yet another of the designated killers.]

As I said, Miss Aihara's death was unfortunate. She seemed like a nice girl. Miss Aozaki probably didn't really have to make such a mess, but maybe she really was thinking of the ratings.

[He doesn't sound as if he's mocking them--he might even sound sincere, in a serious and clipped sort of way.]

Would you really want me to talk about them, though?

If you believe that, why were you unable to free her from the room? Are you not the Producer - higher still than the Hostess in rank? You do not need to speak of Miss Aozaki, either; her reasons were not in the ratings.

...I have two more questions then, if you would indulge me. Why such an attachment to rules that you could rewrite on a whim, and why this game at all? I feel as though I can safely assume we are not the first group to play. Surely there is a reason for it?

That isn't really any of your concern. You should worry more about your incentives.

It is a concern, considering I would not need to be competing for such things in the first place if it weren't for you, or this game. [but Kaoru seems to relent after that, going back to a pissy, sulky silence.]
