du; multiple choice action

[1. Lithuania has just learned he has a job at the bakery. This is news to him, of course, but he ends up going anyway, so if you happen to be in the bakery today, you can see him bustling about, baking things or sorting things or attempting to do both at once. Most are Valentine's Day themed, since that was what he was told to make.

Also, he made free samples. Have some. They are delicious.]

[2. After that, there's more exploring to be done, in the interests of not resting until the day he can walk around town without getting hopelessly lost in the identical streets.

That day is not today, as he is rather lost. Maybe he should try to find a map...]

[3. [1333 Benny Street] And now back at sort-of-home Lithuania has decided the house needs cleaning. If you have some reason to be in the house, he is cleaning all the things.]

I have a map of the town, actually, if you'd like to come with me to my home and have a look at it. You're welcome to copy it.

Not at all. All I ask is that you return the favour if you find yourself with an interesting tidbit of knowledge about the town.

We're three streets away from my home; I can make tea for you while you copy the map.

Ah, the country? [She's met England and Vietnam, so this doesn't take her by surprise.]

My name is Elizabeθ Buckley. A pleasure to meet you.

...If you don't mind, Mr. Laurinaitis, I'm still human enough to prefer name-sounding names. I had the utter fortune of being able to meet my own country, though only briefly.

[identity profile] ergaleomancer.livejournal.com 2011-01-26 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
I did indeed~! I only wish I could have met the England from my own universe, if such a parallel person exists. It's so odd...trying to think of England as a country limited to the island from which the British Empire is merely based...

[She seems to be very patriotic; her tone when she speaks of England is full of love, and not really for England as a person she's met, but still as of her home country that she so adores.]

[identity profile] ergaleomancer.livejournal.com 2011-01-27 12:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course! Her Majesty Queen Victoria wouldn't allow anything less.

[Theta's used to this assumption by now--hence why she says it in such a way. She's having a laugh at his expense, though not maliciously. There's amusement in her voice when she speaks.]

Oh, goodness no. Her Majesty is coming up on her 175th anniversary on the throne; she's immortal in my world~. It was 2010 when I was taken from~.

[identity profile] ergaleomancer.livejournal.com 2011-01-29 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Only for Her Majesty. The technology is just too costly to maintain otherwise; and realistically the few of us [subtle detail to catch--'us', Theta is included] that know how it is done...realistically wouldn't offer it to anyone other than Her Majesty.

[identity profile] ergaleomancer.livejournal.com 2011-01-29 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
It does. I could have sworn Lithuania was a Russian province, but I know that you are a place, at any rate.

I...have never been fond of the idea of immortality, especially after having met Her Majesty in person on several occasions. [An involuntary shudder goes down her spine, especially as she thinks of the most recent encounter.]

[identity profile] ergaleomancer.livejournal.com 2011-01-29 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
My father is her most trusted and beloved advisor, as well as the one who oversees the care and upkeep of the mechanism that keeps her alive long past where age should have overtaken her. ...I am...expected to follow in his footsteps. [And something about that bothers her severely.]

[identity profile] ergaleomancer.livejournal.com 2011-01-30 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
It's quite an honour. [She smiles about that part, even though she's bothered by it. What else would she have said, after all? She seems to be very patriotic.]
