Lithuania's Room | Friday During the Trial

[This is not actually the chapel at all, surprise. Lithuania shuts the door behind both of them once they get to his room.]

O-okay. We--need to talk.

[He doesn't look or sound especially confident about anything right now.]

[Poland's fingers hover within reach of them but he recoils his hand when Lithuania moves to put the shirt on.

He'd known about Lithuania's scars from his notebook but, he hadn't anticipated anything like that...]

I'm sorry.

[vytis]

[Lithuania turns to look at Poland again. He manages a little bit of a smile, though it doesn't quite reach his eyes.]

It's alright. [He does mean that, though, and sounds sincere.] I'm sorry, too.

[He wants to ask if this means things are alright again, but he doesn't want to at the same time.]

Maybe it was unfair of me to like, expect you not to think something like that when I lied.

[vytis]

I lied to you before. [Secret rooms and passages are more trouble than they're worth!]

...I still like you.

[notyetlost]

There is one other thing I lied about you know. [It's probably best to come clean.]

[vytis]

What?

[Lithuania has apparently learned from this incident and is completely withholding judgment.]

[Because you're kind of a neurotic jerk some times, but Poland can't help it.

He likes who he likes.]

[vytis]

[Lithuania smiles more genuinely now--he's relieved, because he likes Poland a lot, even if it might be a bad idea here.]

...I'm really glad. Really--really glad.

[He doesn't think he deserves Poland still liking him, but he really wanted Poland to still like him. Maybe he's selfish.]

[Poland smiles back, exhaling a breathy laugh before wiping the rest of his face off with his sleeve.]

You like. Totally owe me a sweater.

[vytis]

[Lithuania glances over at his provided outfits.]

I think mine would be too big for you.

[Though Poland could take one if he really wanted.]

[notyetlost]

[He's taking one, one of the not bloody ones. And it's totally too big for him.]

I think we're even now.

[vytis]

[No one is going to get any ideas based on Poland's possession of that sweater, no way.]

We should go back to the trial, then.

[notyetlost]

Wait.

What do you think we should do about the wine cellar?

[vytis]

Do about it? [Lithuania considers.] It's up to you.

[Poland would really like to laud his ability to pull wine bottles over Susan but...]
