[Even though there's one less member of the group meeting up tonight, the Producer doesn't seem bothered by it. Instead, he has an announcement to make.]

Alright, here's a special extra incentive for you this week: there are two special targets this week--Belarus and Yuzu Aihara. If you select one of them as a target, you'll receive either $1,000,000,000 or a magical item that grants wishes. Kill both and you'll receive some special help at the trial. Aside from that, you know how this works, right?

And I suppose I should say it now. I had the opportunity to win a prize through trivia, but I failed the test... The questions were impossible. I do not think they wanted us to win.

Please do not fret, Miss Nevermind. I am certain that you tried your best, so thank you for that. I will also see if I can put myself to use by accomplishing the, ah... "scavenger hunt", I believe?

The questions were so difficult! They even asked me what the hostess's name is! How am I to know such a thing...

Ah... I did not think she had one.

[that sounded less dumb before it was said aloud.] My, it would seem as though the immune players for this week have been gifted with misfortune, though.

But, um... I convinced Poland and Felicia to go for the medical kit and secret passage map... Both relatively useless items in the grand scheme of things. I promised to take the fingerprinting kit myself; thank goodness I failed! I would hate to have to see it used against one of you.

Indeed, I would prefer to see it that no one else in this room meets the same fate as Miss Maryam... [Kaoru lapses into a momentary silence, looking sullen.]

...But thank you, Miss Nevermind, for thinking ahead enough to do that. [a grateful nod.] It would be best if neither of them received a thing, but at least we will not have to worry about one of the more troublesome gifts if that is not so.

[ She looks sad, too, at the mention of Kanaya. She's not happy with her role in her execution, but she'd become so overwhelmed by fear at seeing herself on the suspects list... ]

Yes. The map won't be too damaging, as the tunnels are discoverable anyway with enough effort; and the medical kit, well... There is no killer foolish enough to leave a victim with a chance of staying alive.

[that gets her a sympathetic look; to see that Sonia appears sad at all is enough for Kaoru, since the circumstances would have been the same if any of the rest of them were on trial.]

...I hope that we have not doomed ourselves by assuming as much, or by assuming that the medical kit will not offer some all-healing elixir. After all, it does seem as though the odds are stacked against us after that last trial. [a joke?? a tragic attempt at a joke... an equally tragic attempt at a smile follows.]

I think it should be fine... If anything I imagine it would be the mystery box to hold such a surprise...

I must admit, I am curious about what that box might hold... Still, it is too large a risk to take. The odds could play entirely against a person... It would be horrible if something like a fingerprinting kit were inside, or if whoever touched the box was permanently marked in a notable way. [apparently entirely serious about this unrealistic concern...]

Truly, you had thought ahead... I am glad that it was you who received the immunity incentive this week. I do not think I would have been able to consider all of these things in such a short span of time... Ah, when just one mistake could cost so much, it is overwhelming.

...I worry for the time that I shall have to act... I do not want an innocent to die in my place, but... ah... We must tread carefully.

Achieving that goal will be a difficult thing to do, and so I will wish the best for you and for your people, and hope that once you succeed you will not be heavily weighted by guilt.
