Private Conversation - Friday, Week One, 2PM

[Lithuania makes sure to shut and lock the door behind him after leading Poland to his room. Everything was still incredibly strange, although it seemed far more real now that someone had been killed and the murderer executed. Still, he attempts to smile at Poland at least a little.]

You wanted to talk to me?

Vilnius? [Lithuania's tone edges into something almost similar to nostalgia--not that he's been away from it long, really, but oh, he misses it.] Well, I'm really fond of it, of course. It's been my capital for quite a while. There's a legend about it, that it was founded because of a dream about an iron wolf howling on a hill--it supposedly meant that this place will be the capital, and the glory of my peoples' deeds would echo throughout the world.

[He's always really liked that story--but not being able to pull out the appropriate names of the people involved--of one of his founding bosses--bothers him enough that the troubled expression lingers around the edges of his face.]

Oh that's neat! [Poland rolls over to lay on the bed, looking at Lithuania upside down.] Especially that glory echo-y part. You should totally put that line on postcards.

[Poland notices the shift in Lithuania's face. This isn't an expression he particularly cares for especially after seeing his face while talking about Vilinus.] Um... something wrong? Did you eat something bad at lunch, the food here is kind of sketch.

It's-- [Lithuania hesitates, but then realizes that, because Poland is another nation, he would understand.] The memory this place took from me is everything about my people. I remember them in general, as a group, but the specifics... Everything blurs together.

[notyetlost]

Oh my god.

[Poland can't even imagine a world in which he forgets everything about his people.]

That's horrible!

[vytis]

It's--it really is. [Lithuania can't even find it in him to downplay how distressing the memory loss is, really.] But there isn't really anything I can do about it...

[Attempting murder over memories when he didn't know what would happen to his people if he died wasn't worth it.]

Yeah... [It's not like that route really worked out for the cat lady anyways.]

I bet if we could just get out we'd remember what we forgot.

[vytis]

I don't know how we'd break the fence, but maybe there's another way out? The Hostess seems to be able to enter and leave easily enough.

She seems to know everything...

So the next time she shows up we should totally just jump her and refuse to let her go until she tells us how to get out!

[vytis]

I'm not sure that's a good idea. Who knows what she might be able to do to retaliate?

[notyetlost]

Yeah, but what's the alternative trapped here?

Someone killed someone just for a forgotten memory. Are we just supposed to sit around and wait it out till she gets bored or we're next?

[vytis]

No, but-- [He sighs.] This mansion is really large. Let's at least explore it thoroughly first.

[notyetlost]

[Admittedly Poland hasn't spent too much time searching the house. What with so many weird people floating around.]

I guess that's a good place to start.

[vytis]

If we can get out without having to attack anyone and cause a commotion, it would probably be easier.

[notyetlost]

[Makes sense. Although Poland's not opposed to commotion making if necessary.]

So... we're kinda like a team now, right?

[vytis]

Ah--I suppose so. [He smiles a little at the idea.]
