We've already killed two hunters and we're supposed to put Holden on trial.

Even if I chose to not watch someone tonight, Hanekoma is watching Sharon tonight.

We really don't have a lot of "time" left.

We'd have to do something ourselves. We need more days, but even with just a bloodhound--

[Lithuania pauses. Blinks, once.]

And maybe buy another day to figure some way out of this that isn't wretched. Do you have a better idea?

Right now we're just doing what Critter wants. Given what people have said about the character of some of the hunters and what the hunters themselves have said themselves, could it possibly be good?

I'm getting tired of taking these gambles.

Ciel's last request for me. ( A bittersweet smile. Over five hundred years old and these things never get easier. ) I'm not opposed to breaking alliances, my friend, but there are some things I would like to keep.

[Lithuania smiles a little.] Well, he certainly won't be happy with today, will he? You should stick around, then.

[pasodoble]

( He winces at Lithuania's determination, )

I can't say I am either. ( Holding his face in his hands and moaning some. ) Are you sure?

It wouldn't be the first time we've been on the wrong side before...

I'm sure we need more time. I'm definitely sure we're not going to get it with the current efficiency of our group.

You can keep checking prey. It might be best to drag out the game as long as possible, you know? Don't let the prey win but don't let the wolves take it, either.

[pasodoble]

I know winning is bad but losing doesn't sound so good either.

I can buy us time but I can't postpone a result forever.

[vytis]

[Lithuania is silent while he thinks.] Keep searching for wolves, then. We have an advantage already, right? Maybe that little bit will be all we need.

[pasodoble]

( And he's getting up to leave now. )

If you don't think I am, you can keep trying to win. [Lithuania watches Spain leave.] If I slow you down a little, that shouldn't be too much trouble.

( Just a cheerful smile back at Lithuania and say again, )

We've been on the wrong side before.

[vytis]

So we'll hedge our bets on opposite sides.
