[Lithuania hasn't been exactly himself the last week and a half or so. Oh, he's been close--really close, easily enough to fool anyone who doesn't know him well--but he's been quieter. He hasn't gone to check on anyone after Mayfield's event, and in fact has only been at work the bare minimum required amount of time to not get droned. It's usual for him to keep to himself, but not nearly this much. He can feel himself getting wound tighter each day, so when the package he was expecting arrives, he's not entirely sure he wants to open it--after all, it could always be something awful. Of course, he opens it anyway.

And that's why Lithuania is just kind of standing on the sidewalk next to the mailbox, holding his state flag like he either wants to collapse on it in tears or cling to it adoringly forever.

Either way, he's kind of blocking the sidewalk.]

[He looks back down at the flag.]

It's my state flag. That [He gestures to the horse and rider] is that Vytis--the Chaser. I've had it for--oh, at least since the 1300s.

So it's very important...I'm glad you got it back then...Nothing they give us could really make up for it though, huh?

[She bites her lip and sighs in frustration. She wraps her arms around him tightly and squeezes] Lithuania...

[Lithunia makes a small startled sound, but he hugs back after a moment.]

I mean it when I say I'll be okay. Things will get better.

...I know. Things always get better. [She smiles hesitantly and lets go, suddenly unsure if that was awkward or not]

I should have checked up on you sooner.

[Patting her on the head.]

[Suddenly sounding distracted.]

I think I'm just still exhausted from everything that happened.
