[Lithuania spent the day inside, and asked those in his house to do the same. He had weapons--a couple of guns he'd bought in Mayfield--but his sword and his nation body were gone, which left him feeling particularly vulnerable. That he seemed to be the only one who had received a letter in the house made him feel marginally better, except that anyone who came for him might hurt them as well.

The photos--he couldn't stop looking at those. Shots of various places in Lithuania, large cities and small villages, all the people he would do anything to protect. It had to be a ruse, it had to be false, that Mayfield could do something on such a grand scale had to be impossible. He hung desperately onto that hope.]

[The doors and windows are locked and the curtains are closed. He's asked everyone to stay inside--and he at least plans on attempting to enforce this with Lyra and Madoka. He's been on and off the phone all day, but mostly he's been moving nervously around the house and glancing at the door over and over.]

[Lyra's lost her Pokemon, and she isn't very happy about that. However, she isn't anything if not a Pokemon Trainer, and one thing that many Trainers have in common is the fact that, even without Pokemon, they can still find a way to kick butt.]

[He at least manages to smile at her; he's trying not to let everyone else know just how much he's been thinking about doing what the town says.]

I'm alright, Miss Lyra. It's kind of a tiring day, though, you know?

[There's a pause, but he won't lie to Estonia.]

I don't know. I've been thinking about it, and--they could bring them here, right? But everyone says that Mayfield never follows through on this sort of thing.

[Implied throughout that whole thing is "but if Mayfield isn't bluffing..."]

What? Mayfield is suddenly going to be able to accomidate an extra two hundred thousand people? That's the minimum of what it would be for simply the nations I've interacted with here. I'm assuming there's others I've not run into yet. It would be an impossible threat to follow through on. And even a fraction of our populations we can keep safe. We've fought too hard to do just that in the past to let this city get them.

[He lets Estonia rant, finding it actually makes him feel a little bit better.]

I suppose it would have to grow exponentially for that, but the other option is that if they can't do that, can they attack our people at home?

[Secretly he's hoping for another rant about how illogical that would be.]

That doesn't make any sense, Leedu! If they were capable of terrorizing us -- any of us -- at home, why would we have been brought here in the first place? No, obviously the extent of their abilities is the transportation of people and the acquiring of minimal information from our home. I haven't collaborated with anyone outside of our normal and expected timeline to verify this is true, but I'm going on a hunch here. It only follows, logically, that whoever is in control here has limited powers. Which means that there's got to be a way to get around their system.

Then it must be a bluff. The photos are realistic, but they've inserted memories into our heads before, so I guess in comparison this isn't that sophisticated...

Photoshopping is easy. Despite everything native here saying it's the nineteen-fifties, obviously they've been able to pull us from later times. All it takes is some generic shots of people or even images from our tourism websites and whoever is running things has all the incentive we need to start panicking about our citizens.

I don't see how Mayfield could feasibly do anything to them.

[He lets himself laugh a little.]

I suppose you're right. Maybe I let myself get all worked up over nothing.

[Because that never happens, right?]

It all depends on what you are in Mayfield--since you're in a child spot, you can't buy them. Do you have a preference for which kind? I'll go buy a few now.
