day four

[Lithuania has been keeping pretty quiet--he didn't think he'd ever have to go through something like this again, and it's stunned him a little to have to try and fight his way through again. His missing memories are also bothering him. He's sure he'd be able to help more if he could just remember the entire situation, if only because his loss of memories must mean something, but without the knowledge of what he'd lost, he had nothing to go on, really.


In sharing a cabin with Poland, at least he can talk to the other nation easily enough.]

So--we have to do this again.

[Poland's mostly ben keeping to himself as well, mostly waiting for Lithuania to talk first...

Seeing as how this has somehow been yet another vacation to go totally off the train tracks.]

...I didn't know. I had like four interns look this up for me and it totally checked out.

I know. How many games about murdering people like this can there be?

[...Of course, now he's thinking about that too seriously and the idea that there are a whole bunch of these all over is pretty terrifying.]

I'm innocent, but I don't have any role. What about you?

... A lot apparently.

[Yeah Poland thought that question was coming eventually.] I'm innocent.

Not that my word probably means much after last time. If you don't believe me, that's fine. I get it.

[Lithuania can't quite figure out what Poland means by last time. He doesn't remember which role Poland had last time, though he considers that just one more thing on top of everything else he can't remember.

He does know he should take this seriously, though. He holds up his hand, pinky extended.] Promise we're both telling the truth about our roles?

Seriously?

[Liet since when do you initiate pink promises?]

[vytis]

Yes, seriously. I'm just saving you the trouble of starting it yourself.

[notyetlost]

Okay! [This is actually a really good idea Liet.] I'm like totally not lying I promise.

[Poland wraps his pink around Lithuania's and shakes it.]

[vytis]

I'm not lying either, promise. [Very serious pinky promises here.] Of course, with both of us as normal innocent, we don't have a lot between ourselves to go on. But--I feel a lot better now, actually.

[notyetlost]

It's better than having nothing.

I can only really sort of remember three days of last time and even then they're kinda vague.

Really really vague.

[vytis]

I can remember bits and pieces, but it's hard to place what happened when. Do you remember how it ended...?

[notyetlost]

[Poland scrunches up his face in thought.] ...No.

But I mean we're alive right now right. So. We must have won?

Unless we lost. And we're trapped in an endless cycle of different variations of this dumb game forever?

Oh my god that's horrible! No!

[vytis]

We must have won, we went home after. [Lithuania definitely remembers that part at least.] And we're not dead, either.

[notyetlost]

Oh yeah... [Phew...]

I guess that means it's really possible to win, we just have to not die.

[vytis]

Easier said than done in this situation. [He's been keeping quiet, but he feels like that'll probably make him suspicious on its own sooner or later.]

[notyetlost]

I haven't been saying much... [Which might seem weird to other people, but Lithuania knows better having known Poland's tendencies around strangers.]

Do you think they're gonna go after shy people? Should I make myself like super talkative?

[vytis]

They did that last time, right? But I don't know if you should talk too much, because then the killers might come after you.

[notyetlost]

Er...what's too much?

[This is hard. Poland wants to go home.]

[vytis]

Try not to take charge of any accusations or anything if you don't have some sort of protection in mind. That's who the killers would probably be going after, I think.

[notyetlost]

I guess that shouldn't be too hard. [It is not like he is privy to any kind of special information being a total normie.]

[vytis]

[Lithuania nods.] We have to keep the killers from wanting to target us but also keep the other innocent people from suspecting us.

[The life of an innocent is a tightrope walk.]

[notyetlost]

Do you think we should become like bffls with the doctor so we don't have to worry?

[vytis]

We don't have any way of figuring out who the doctor is, though. And even then they might have other people in mind to protect.

[Not to mention they can't protect two people at once.]

[notyetlost]

Ah... [This game sucks Liet.]

I guess if you don't glare at anyone or start any fights we should be fine.

[vytis]

You're the one who's more likely to start fights, you know.

[notyetlost]
