[Lithuania will carry on. He will push to the end. He doesn't bother lying to himself about what end that will be--they are going to catch him, that much is inevitable after what Sonia did. He doesn't think he'll have more than a week, and even the idea of seven whole days is disgustingly optimistic. He feels like anything that was good in him had been scooped out little by little until only this awful hollow thing is left--except that's not entirely true. Lithuania persists; rather, Lietuvos Respublika persists.
